Pixie: who it is for
A compact Original machine for Espresso and Lungo with no milk system. Choose it for a small kitchen when you drink espresso-style cups and froth milk separately, if at all. It uses Original capsules only and offers Espresso, Lungo; the water tank holds 24 fl oz (0.7 L).
Strengths
- Milk drinks on the machine (built-in milk system, one-touch recipes)
- Compact footprint for small kitchens
Trade-offs
- Cups top out at Lungo size; for mug-size coffee look at Vertuo
- Small used-capsule bin; empty it often
- Original capsules only; Vertuo pods do not fit
Keeping it running
Descale every three months or 300 capsules, whichever comes first (Nespresso US guidance), with Nespresso's own descaling kit. Descaling steps for the Pixie.
Compare before you buy

- CitiZ: larger tank
